Abstract
The process of formalization in various scientific disciplines is developing in different ways and in different intensity. Between modelling and formalization there exists a substantial connection. Modelling, however, does not exhaust itself entirely in formalized knowledge since it forms a relatively independent system. The most authors consider the sphere of the formal logic as the only possible field of formalization. Others take formalization as a research method which may exist on different levels of cognition whereby it is presupposed that on higher levels formalization must be carried out relatively completely while on lower level formalism coexists with elements of natural languages. This is a broad conception of formalization. Philosophic konwledge can be formalized only partially on the level of formalisms of natural languages or their combining with sign formalisms.
