Kultúrny nacionalizmus Jána Kollára
Abstrakt
The background of the author’s defining the ideological and political orientation of Kollár’s works as cultural nationalism is E. Gellner’s idea, that „the social units, which are not inclined to use culture to define political actions, are not apt to nationalism". Kollár’s position has been articulated in his Idea of Slavic Mutuality, the latter being often misleadingly related to as panslavism. The „operative functional concept", developed by Kollár in this work, is based on the idea, that it is tine spiritual and cultural collaboration of Slavic nations, which makes the liberating of small Slavic nations in Austria and the revival of slavism as a gerat moral power, possible. The latter should play an important humanistic role in history, which was ascribed to Slavs already by Herder. The author sees this Kollár’s attitude, in which myth and reality are intertwinned, as following from the underpriviledged position of Slovaks in Austria-Hungary.
