Abstract
The aim of the present paper is to give arguments for the reconstructional conception of science. The first part of the work is constructive: the author formulates there a certain conception of the philosophy of science and explains, why he accepts it. He decided to consider the theory, which investigates the giving of reasons for statements in languages whose use is regulated by metalingual rules, as the philosophy of science. The second part of the work is critical. First of all, the aims of the philosophy of science are critically analysed according to some antireconstructional conceptions; the analysis is then given of some antireconstructional criticisms of reconstructionism.
