Abstract
The article is concerned with the comparative analysis of the conceptions of science of T. S. Kuhn and L. Fleck. But it is not only the comparison we are dealing with. We want to point out that Fleck’s conception of science — even though not completed in many respects — brings more suitable means of interpretation of the development of scientific thinking. First of all it allows for avoiding discontinualism which is — as almost all critics of Kuhn point out — the main drawback of the paradigmatic conception of science.
