Abstract
The paper is a cautious attempt at elaborating at least the most general principles of the methodological approach to the problems of the history of philosophy. The breadth of the analyzed material has demanded a strict arrangement of the explication in the form of individual theses. The elaboration of the basic principles of the research of the history of philosophy in the paper starts from a concise formulation of the very object of philosophy. The author pays attention to the principal differences between the idealist and materialist ways of interpretation of the history of philosophy. It is the concrete research of the historical — philosophical process that is a very important moment in the paper. The author starts from the nonsubstantial character of the process mentioned and thus he determines also the principles of its research. The unrepeatibility of a concrete historic-philosophical phenomenon, its inner systemic arrangement, its immanent antagonism and its inevitable existence only as a realizing concreteness are held by the author for its basic qualities.
