Transformation of Marxist Philosophy in Slovakia in the Sixties of the 20th Century
Abstract
The paper outlines the period of political, economic and social revival in Slovak society of the sixties of the 20th century, in the course of which the restrictions of philosophical thought were removed as well. It was a spontaneous initiative of the Slovak philosophers, whose aim was the reestablishment of philosophical antropology, ecology and ontology on one hand and the dismissal of the vulgar materialistic approach to humanity and society by the reexamination of the epistemological principles of marxist philosophy on the other hand. The new conception of culture and of the whole historical development was based on a new interpretation of consciousness and the variety of its objective forms.
