Filozofia mysle a psychológia v pragmatizme (James a Dewey)
Abstrakt
The author argues that within the contemporary revival of pragmatism the philosophy of mind and psychology are being almost neglected notwithstanding the fact that the classical pragmatists, notably James and Dewey, had massively written on the subjects. The paper is an attempt at a reconstruction and outline of the main characteristics of the pragmatist philosophy of mind and psychology. These characteristics include naturalism, functionalism, experimentalism, anti-dualism and holism. Jamesian is pragmatist functionalism in psychology and radical empirism in philosophy of mind, while Deweyan is naturalism in psychology and antimentalism in philosophy of mind.
