Abstract

The aim of the paper is to analyse Heidegger's conception of understanding as a constitutive moment of the being of „Dasein“. The attention is paid to the structure of anticipation as a core of the phenomenon of understanding. The last part of the paper deals with the relation of understanding to the theoretical attitude. Understanding is seen as a background which makes the explanation possible.
