Abstrakt

The article is more or less of a terminological character. It is in reality a preliminary outline for a more exact and a simpler use of certain terms in pragmatical methodology, designating the following types of reasoning: inference, deduction, proof, verification and explanation. The analysis and definition of these terms is purely intuitive and apart from certain critical exceptions, it is based on Ajdukiewicz’s conception and interpretation of the above types of reasoning (Klasyfikacja rozumowań, Studia Logica II, Warszawa 1955, 278 — 299).
