Abstract
The paper analyzes critically the views of K. R. Popper, J. Piaget and N. Maxwell on the genesis and solution of scientific problems. The drawbacks of these two authors’ conceptions is not only that they contradict each other in some elementary points and neglect some facts from the history of sciences. The views of these authors are not satisfactory even from the positions of materialist dialectics and from the standpoint of the theory of reflection. Facing the criticised views we have pointed out a conception that regards the experiences from the history of sciences, from the research practice and is satisfactory from the point of view of the materialist world outlook.
