Abstrakt

It is necessary to study perceptual processes in their genetical-functional dependence on material-objective activity. The forming of sensori-motor information as a base for creation of full-value sense-perception does not proceed in isolation. In the reproductive cycle of human knowing it is always mediated by rational cognition and practice, owing to which it assumes objective and conceptual character. Also the interpretation of this base by means of „perceptual hypotheses“ is always conditioned sociallyhistorically. The adequate understanding of sensual reflection, its place and role in the whole reproductive cycle of cognition is possible only if we regard cognition — in the unity of all its components — as social activity of spiritual character which is derived from social practice.
