Abstrakt

The paper discusses the qeustions of man's authentic being, his autonomy, his self-consciousness and selfreflection. By the help of the analyses of various philosophical conceptions of man's authenticity the author shows the transformations of the idea of authentic being during the last five decades. Attention is paid to such issues as "Man as a part of the world", "Man transcending himself and the world" etc. As a conclusion basic elements constituting man’s authenticity are articulated.
