Filozofia, 53 (1998), 3, 137-145.

Abstrakt

The paper focuses on Kant's critical resolution of the problems of metaphysics embodied in his Critique of the Pure Reason and Prolegomena. Kant's contribution into the metaphysical European tradition is examined on the background of the interpretations of G. W. F. Hegel, K. Lijvith and O. Marquard. A special attention is paid to basic issues of Kant's philosophy, e. g. the special fortunes of reason, the relationship between metaphysics and science, the definition of metaphysics by means of its ideological and formal interpretation. Kant's philosophy is seen as a part of European metaphysical tradition. The author points out however, that there was a diversion from that tradition in Germany even before Kant.
