Abstrakt

It is the aim of the paper to analyze some points of the historical-philosophical conception of one of the most important representatives of the French Neo-Thomism, Etienne Gilson. The author’s intention was to point out that Gilson’s existentialism was also projected into his historical-philosophical conception when he analyzed important thinkers of the Antiquity Ages and the New Age. In the paper Gilson’s attempt to revive Thomism by introducing thoughts of idealist philosophers is demonstrated.
