Abstrakt

Gnoseologic advancement in the solution of philosophic problems of freedom was achieved by the classics of Marxism-Leninism only due to the fact that they took into account fundamental aspects by means of which it was possible to identifity the basic historical-social and class-political determination of freedom. In this connection attention is paid to the category „freedom“ and to its analysis from several aspects and from the standpoint of historicism and practice. The identification of freedom from the standpoint of historicism and practice makes it possible to conceive the problems in question in close relation with the idea of materialist understanding of history and social progress.
